About a month ago (actually it was the same shopping trip that yielded the stitch markers) I picked up this yarn because it was screaming at me. The colors, they wanted me to take them home and I obliged them, yes I did. I hadn't knit anything in, oh, forever, and I knew I had a rare relaxing weekend ahead of me so I scoured Ravelry and found this cute little pattern for a one-skein capelet. Sometimes all the stars align like that and I get to spend uninterrupted chunks of time making something beautiful and satisfying. Also, using chunky yarn to knit a daughter-sized capelet means instant gratification! *sweet sigh* I got it all knit up in a few days. Blocking it, sewing on the buttons, photographing and blogging it, however, has taken me...er, a bit longer. :)

end - yay! She loves it, by the way. Especially the mice. (What is her deal with mice?)
I bought two different colorways of this Paton's SWS yarn which, contrary to what husbands say about More Yarn, really worked out because I have two daughters. I'm still stuck on that last step for this one, however.

End coming soon. The end is coming! Hahaha, I crack myself up.
And because I cannot possibly entertain just one project at a time (what fun would that be?!) here is a luscious little purse I am working on, plus a quilt for a friend. :)
The yarn is Muench Black Forest Naturwolle, 110 Rosenholz (it's so delicious, it's practically edible) and soon it will be a Twitterpated Purse. Really, I'm very closed to finished. I need to knit the handle and sew in the liner.
